Dr. McMain will once again be offering a three-part dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT) training in partnership with University of Toronto. All information and registration is available by clicking the link below.
This course is for participants wanting to engage in an in-depth experience in the practice of DBT. Current DBT practice is not a requirement although those applying DBT with clients will greatly benefit from this training because it applies the consultation team model of learning and refining your DBT practice. This is a practical hands-on course designed to give participants advanced training in DBT through a review of video tapes, skills modeling, role-playing and consultation on cases drawn from the trainer’s and trainees’ own practices. Participants will prepare and present clinical consultation questions based on their own clinical work. They will complete homework throughout the course. The format of the course will entail didactic presentations followed by case-based applications of learning through group consultation. Each three-hour session will provide practical explanations, experiential exercises and practice opportunities.
