Rachel Stewart received her Masters of Social Work from the University of Toronto and has since completed additional training in Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT). She is a registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). Her clinical approach with adolescents, adults and families balances compassionate acceptance with skill building to promote motivation and change.
Rachel maintains a strong stance of transparency, genuineness and collaboration. She strives to create safety and trust while fostering growth and resilience. She has pursued additional training DBT, CBT, Stage-Based Trauma Therapy and Relational Therapy. Rachel uses warmth, respect and nonjudgmental exploration in the treatment of suicidal and self-injurious behaviours, emotion dysregulation, and relational trauma.
