Michael Tighe is a PsyD Candidate in Clinical Psychology at Adler Graduate Professional School, working under the supervision of Drs. Shari Geller and Shelley McMain. Michael has completed extensive clinical training at various clinical practices in Toronto; he has worked with individuals facing depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive tendencies, perfectionism, trauma, grief, self-esteem issues, relationship difficulties, personality and identity concerns, ADHD, life-stage transitions, work-related stress, sleep problems, and personal growth. He also has extensive experience working with individuals seeking comprehensive psychological assessments for diagnostic clarification.

Michael is committed to fostering a safe, warm, and accepting therapeutic environment where he seeks to help clients navigate their difficulties and achieve meaningful change. He does this through an integrative, evidence-based approach, incorporating techniques from cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy (SFT), emotion-focused therapy (EFT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), psychodynamic therapy, and existential therapy. Michael has a special interest in working with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, identity, self-esteem, vocational, and relationship issues while helping clients move towards a more engaging, fulfilling, and meaningful life.
