Dr. Annie Chinneck received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Dalhousie University, completed her pre-doctoral internship within the London Consortium, and is a registered psychologist (with the College of Psychologists of Ontario). Annie works with adolescents and adults who have dysregulated thoughts, emotions, behaviours, senses of self, and/or relationships. She uses evidence-based therapies like Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) and Structured Relapse Prevention (SRP) - to treat Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), complex trauma, substance use, and other difficulties (like anxiety and depression). Annie balances acceptance and change strategies to support her clients and to help make their lives more meaningful. She strives to be open, validating, and non-judgmental and to develop genuine alliances.
