Ariel Lewis received his Master of Social Work with a specialization in mental health from the University of Toronto. He is registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers (OCSWSSW) and has received extensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Emotion Focused Therapy. Prior to CMBH, Ariel worked in the Borderline Personality Disorder Clinic at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health where he received extensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy. He also provided individual, group, and family therapy to adolescents while working as a DBT therapist within a community setting. Ariel specializes in working with clients challenged with anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress, self-harming behavior, BPD, substance abuse, disordered eating and Autism Spectrum Disorder. Ariel combines evidence-based practice with an empathic, collaborative and non-judgmental approach.
