Jennifer Ip is currently completing her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at Ryerson University and is under the supervised practice of Drs. Shari Geller and Shelley McMain. She has completed previous training within the Family Health Team at St. Michael’s Hospital, the Work Stress and Health program at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health and in Ryerson-based clinical research trials on couples and individual treatment for PTSD and social anxiety. In these roles, she provided assessment and treatment of anxiety, depression, substance use and posttraumatic stress disorders. She integrates a client-centered approach, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy to inform her practice. Jennifer believes that therapy must be a non-judgmental, warm collaboration between client and therapist to find ways of understanding and accepting painful emotional experiences and to help clients build skills toward living the life they wish to live.
