Laura Reznick obtained her Masters of Science in Social Work from Columbia University. She works with adults, adolescents and families challenged by a variety of concerns. Her work is person-centered and collaborative, using her training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, motivational interviewing, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and Emotion Focused Therapy. Prior to joining CMBH, Laura interned with the Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Training Program at Columbia University and at the DBT Adolescent Unit in Four Winds Psychiatric Hospital. She has extensive experience treating adults and adolescents with personality disorders, depression, anxiety, substance use disorders, psychosis, and eating disorders. Prior to her career as a social worker, Laura was a doctoral candidate in English literature at City University of New York Graduate Centre. She holds a Masters of Fine Arts in Poetry from Hunter College, and taught literature and writing at numerous colleges in New York City.
