CMBH Annual Professional Training

CMBH Annual Professional Training

The annual CMBH gathering of clinicians from all over Ontario (and beyond) has established a tradition of bringing in master therapists from around the world to facilitate thought-provoking workshops. We intentionally want to challenge our thinking and our clinical practices. Topics from previous years include:

  • Working with Emotions in Psychotherapy
  • Working with Shame in Psychotherapy
  • Acceptance and Change in Working with Emotions in Psychotherapy
  • DBT Skills for Multi-Problem Adolescents.

Our annual training provides a hands-on approach to learning. It is a gathering where the discussion is always robust. Master therapists share their views on working effectively in various therapeutic relationships. Clinical work is illuminated with clinical examples, video clips, and emergent discussions.

This year we are very excited to be hosting Dr. Martin Bohus, Psychiatrist and Professor at the University of Mannheim, Germany. Dr. Bohus will provide an extended three-day training on DBT for Complex PTSD. The training takes place on Saturday – Monday, December,14, 15 and 16, 2019. We encourage early registration as we anticipate we will once again reach a cap on registration. Click here to learn more about this year's training and to purchase tickets online
