Project Description

Laura Reznick, MSW, obtained her Masters of Science in Social Work from Columbia University and works with adults, adolescents and families challenged by a variety of concerns. Her work is person-centred and collaborative, using her training and experience in Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and exposure therapy. Laura’s approach promotes clients’ strengths and self-determination.

Laura was an intern with the Dialectical Behavioural Therapy Training Program at the Columbia University School of Social Work and interned at the DBT-adolescent unit at Four Winds Psychiatric Hospital. She has experience treating adults and adolescents with personality disorders, depression, anxiety, substance use disorders, psychosis, and eating disorders.

Prior to her career as a psychotherapist, Laura was a doctoral candidate in English literature at City University of New York Graduate Centre. She holds a Masters of Fine Arts in Poetry from Hunter College, and taught literature and writing at numerous colleges in New York City. In her free time, she is an avid reader and enjoys spending time with her family.
