Dr. Breanne Faulkner is a Clinical and Counselling Psychologist, registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. She completed her Masters and PhD at the University of Toronto, and has been providing compassionate mental health treatment to adults for almost 15 years. Breanne brings a wealth of experience through clinical positions at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences, and Toronto Metropolitan University. She maintains a particular interest in trauma-related difficulties with research, publications, and teaching on trauma and PTSD and the impacts of the cultural and systemic contexts in which they occur.

Breanne is trained in a variety of evidence-based treatment modalities including Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), EFT for Complex Trauma, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Prolonged Exposure, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Schema Therapy, as well as relational psychodynamic and sensorimotor approaches. She describes herself as an integrative emotion-focused clinician. Guided by client-centred, experiential, attachment-based, and trauma-informed principles, she integrates and adapts treatment approaches to meet each individual client’s needs.

Breanne brings curiosity, openness, and humility to her clinical work, valuing the wisdom, intersectional identities, and lived experiences of her clients. She is deeply empathic and attentive to the therapeutic relationship, providing a safe and responsive environment for individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, grief and loss, emotion dysregulation, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, life transitions, identity difficulties, and burnout.
