Dr. Elizabeth Wong completed her Ph.D. in Clinical and Counselling Psychology at the University of Toronto, Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) in 2023. She is currently registering with the College of Psychologists of Ontario as a clinical psychologist under supervised practice. In therapy, Elizabeth works collaboratively with clients to understand their difficulties, utilize their strengths, and develop tools/skills to improve their functioning, all within a warm, understanding, and empathic environment. She integrates client centered and cognitive behavioral approaches to help her clients understand their struggles using techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Interpersonal Therapy to help meet clients’ treatment goals. Elizabeth offers individual therapy to adults with depressed mood, anxiety, trauma (PTSD and family of origin concerns), difficulties with emotion regulation, obsessive-compulsive tendencies, body image concerns, perfectionism, self-esteem concerns and self-criticism, and grief.
