Mary Mikhail is a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Services Workers. She obtained her Bachelor of Social Work from York University and her Master of Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University.
Mary has experience in both inpatient and outpatient treatment centres for mental health and addictions. She received training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy and Cognitive Processing Therapy. She also has extensive experience supporting individuals challenged by trauma, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (C-PTSD), sexual abuse, emotion dysregulation, mood and anxiety disorders, personality disorders and substance use/abuse.
Mary provides a warm, empathetic and accepting environment that fosters safe and meaningful therapeutic relationships. Her clinical style is direct with a balance of non-judgemental and curious approaches. She is committed to providing high quality care for each individual’s unique needs by building a strong and reliable alliance with her clients.
