Mindful eating is an approach to food and eating that fosters greater awareness of the relationship between your  thoughts, emotions and eating behaviour. It helps you be flexible in how you understand food and eating. You develop an approach  that is accepting and joyful. Mindful eating decreases overeating, binge eating and emotional eating. Mindful eating is not a diet or weight loss plan; it is  a way of relating to food and to your body that is compassionate and balanced.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) helps clients improve their emotional health through four core concepts: mindfulness; distress tolerance; emotion regulation; and interpersonal effectiveness. This three-day workshop will develop your knowledge and skills in all four core areas. You’ll learn how to structure DBT skills groups, teach in a more engaging manner, address problem behaviours and help clients get the most out of their homework.
