Rachael is a therapist and teacher of yoga and mindfulness meditation with 15 years of experience in the fields of health care and mental health. She received her Master’s of Social Work from the University of Toronto in 2000 and then completed additional training in evidence-based psychotherapies including cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, narrative therapy and emotionally-focused therapy. She is currently completing Level 2 of her Sensorimotor Psychotherapy training. As a student of Zen and yoga practice, Rachael’s work blends evidence-based psychotherapies informed by neuroscience research with insights from the wisdom-based traditions of yoga and mindfulness. Rachael works with individuals, couples and families. Through her somatic training, she brings a body-oriented approach to helping people regulate emotion and move towards integration and wellness in their lives.
