Dr. Nicola Hermanto completed her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from McGill University and is a clinical psychologist registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) working in inpatient and outpatient settings with a focus on relational trauma and complex clinical presentations. Nicola further completed post-doctoral training at the Borderline Personality Disorder Clinic at CAMH.

Nicola works with individuals and couples experiencing a variety of mental health challenges. She integrates the approaches of dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), and emotion-focused therapy (EFT). Nicola provides a therapeutic environment that is warm, non-judgmental, and collaborative to support clients in making personally meaningful and lasting changes. Nicola has a special interest in working with clients who struggle with self-criticism, shame, and experiences of trauma. She enjoys helping clients foster compassion and acceptance towards themselves, as well as in their relationships with others.
