Project Description

Dr. Tanya Teall received her doctorate in Clinical and Counselling Psychology at the University of Toronto (OISE/UT) and is currently registered as a clinical psychologist with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. She works with adolescents and adults facing various mental health challenges, particularly eating disorders, difficulties with emotion regulation, substance use and impulsive behaviour. Her primary treatment approaches include Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. Tanya employs a compassionate and collaborative approach to her work, helping her clients identify and work towards their personal goals, increase resilience and create positive changes in their lives.

Tanya’s training and experience includes positions in hospital, community and private practice settings. She completed a pre-doctoral internship at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) in the Borderline Personality Disorder Clinic and in the Psychological Trauma Program. She has also worked in the Hospital for Sick Children Eating Disorder Program. Tanya has longstanding research interests related to women’s embodiment, body image and eating disorders.
